Privacy Policy: stayline-Country Days Tracker

Effective date: July 16, 2026

Last updated: July 16, 2026

Stayline (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is a travel-day tracking app for iOS developed by Gravloom, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Stayline is designed to be privacy first: your travel history stays on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and the choices you have.

1. Summary

– No account is required to use Stayline, and we do not operate a server that stores your travel data.

– Your trips, profile, and settings are stored only on your device.

– Location data (if you enable it) is used only to detect which country you are in. Working out the country involves a lookup by Apple; only the resulting country and date are kept, on your device. It is never sold and never used for advertising.

– We do not sell your data and do not track you across other apps or websites.

– Subscription purchases are processed by Apple, with paywall and subscription management supported by Superwall.

2. Information stored on your device

The following data is created by you inside the App and stored locally on your device only:

– Trips and travel history, countries, cities, entry/exit dates, transport type, and any notes you add.

– Profile details, nationality, tax home country, current residence, passport type, and your tracking goal (visa, tax residency, or both).

– Rules and limits, visa-free day limits, tax residency thresholds, Schengen 90/180 tracking, and any custom rules you configure.

– App settings and preferences, including notification preferences.

We have no access to this data. It is not transmitted to us or to any server we control. If you delete the App, this data is deleted with it (subject to any device backups you control, such as iCloud or iTunes backups managed by Apple).

3. Location data (optional)

If you grant location permission, Stayline uses your device’s location solely to detect which country you are in so it can automatically log entries and exits:

– To turn a position into a country, your device sends the coordinate to Apple’s geocoding service, which returns a country code. This happens at most once every 30 seconds while automatic tracking is on, and it is governed by [Apple’s Privacy Policy](https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/). We do not receive the coordinate, and we operate no server for it to be sent to.

– We keep only the resulting country and the date. Your coordinates, your route and your precise positions are not stored, not uploaded to us, and never sold or shared for advertising.

– If you are in the United States, the state is determined entirely on your device using map data bundled inside the App. That step involves no network request.

– With “While Using the App” permission, detection happens when the App is open.

– With “Always” permission, the App monitors significant location changes in the background so your day counts stay accurate even when the App is closed. Location accuracy is deliberately set no finer than roughly one kilometre enough to identify a country, not to follow your movements.

– Location access is entirely optional, and automatic tracking is off unless you turn it on. You can rebuild your history from photos or log trips manually instead both work fully offline— and you can change or revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.

4. Rebuilding your history from photos

If you ask Stayline to rebuild past trips, it reads two properties from your photo library index: the date a photo was taken and its location tag. It determines the country from that coordinate using map data bundled inside the App, on your device, with no network request.

No photo or video is ever opened, decoded, copied, uploaded or shared. We never see your photos. Photo access is optional and can be revoked at any time in iOS Settings.

5. Notifications

Stayline can send you local notifications (for example, warnings before you approach a visa or tax-residency limit). These are scheduled and delivered on your device by iOS. They do not involve sending your data to any server. You can disable them at any time in iOS Settings.

6. Analytics

Stayline uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how people move through the App so we can improve it. It records events such as which screen was viewed and for how long, which onboarding step was reached, which buttons were tapped, whether a permission prompt was granted or declined (as a yes/no, never a location), how many trips or countries a photo scan found (as a number only), and whether a purchase started, succeeded, failed or was cancelled.

Firebase also collects standard technical information automatically, such as device model, operating system version, App version, an app-instance identifier, and an approximate region derived from your IP address.

No analytics event contains a country you visited, a travel date, a coordinate, a trip, or your name. See [Firebase’s privacy documentation](https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy).

7. Subscriptions and purchases

Stayline offers optional paid subscriptions:

– Apple processes all payments through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details (such as credit card numbers). Apple’s handling of your data is governed by [Apple’s Privacy Policy](https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).

– Superwall is used to present paywalls and manage subscription status. When you view a paywall or make a purchase, Superwall may process limited technical data such as a random device/app identifier, device type, OS version, app version, locale, and purchase/subscription events. This data is used to operate the paywall and determine your subscription status — not to sell your personal information. See [Superwall’s Privacy Policy](https://superwall.com/privacy) for details.

We do not receive your name, email address, or Apple ID through the purchase process.

8. Data we do NOT collect

Stayline does not:

– Sell your personal data.

– Track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

– Use third-party advertising networks or ad identifiers.

– Collect analytics that identify you personally, or that record where you have travelled.

– Require you to create an account or provide an email address.

9. Your choices and control

– Delete your data: You can delete any trip, or all data, at any time inside the App (Settings). Deleting the App from your device also removes all locally stored data.

– Location: Enable, restrict, or revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings.

– Notifications: Turn off notifications at any time in iOS Settings.

– Subscriptions: Manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings (iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions).

10. Data retention

Because your data lives on your device, you control retention. We do not retain copies. Superwall retains subscription-event data in accordance with its own privacy policy.

11. Children’s privacy

Stayline is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App is intended for travelers managing visa and tax-residency obligations.

12. International users (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA)

Because Stayline stores your data locally and we do not collect personal data on our servers, most data-protection rights (access, deletion, portability, correction) can be exercised directly on your device. To the extent any personal data is processed by our service providers (Apple, Superwall), it is limited to what is described above and is processed to provide the service you requested (contract performance / legitimate interest). We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

If you have a request or question about your data rights, contact us at the email below.

13. Security

Your data is protected by your device’s built-in security (device encryption, passcode/Face ID as configured by you). Because data never leaves your device except as described in this policy, the attack surface is minimal. No method of storage is 100% secure, so we recommend keeping your device and iOS up to date.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the App or on this page. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
