Bounded (“the App”, “we”, “us”) is a travel-day tracking app for iOS developed by Gravloom, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Bounded is designed to be privacy-first: your travel history stays on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles, how it is used, and the choices you have.
1. Summary
– No account is required to use Bounded, and we do not operate a server that stores your travel data.
– Your trips, profile, and settings are stored only on your device.
– Location data (if you enable it) is processed on-device to detect which country you are in. It is never sold and never used for advertising.
– We do not sell your data and do not track you across other apps or websites.
– Subscription purchases are processed by Apple, with paywall and subscription management supported by Superwall.
2. Information stored on your device
The following data is created by you inside the App and stored locally on your device only:
– Trips and travel history: countries, cities, entry/exit dates, transport type, and any notes you add.
– Profile details: nationality, tax home country, current residence, passport type, and your tracking goal (visa, tax residency, or both).
– Rules and limits: visa-free day limits, tax residency thresholds, Schengen 90/180 tracking, and any custom rules you configure.
– App settings and preferences: including notification preferences.
We have no access to this data. It is not transmitted to us or to any server we control. If you delete the App, this data is deleted with it (subject to any device backups you control, such as iCloud or iTunes backups managed by Apple).
3. Location data (optional)
If you grant location permission, Bounded uses your device’s location solely to detect which country you are in so it can automatically log entries and exits:
– Location is processed on-device. Your location history is not uploaded to our servers (we do not have any), and it is never sold or shared for advertising.
– With “While Using the App” permission, detection happens when the App is open.
– With “Always” permission, the App uses region/visit monitoring in the background so your day counts stay accurate even when the App is closed.
– Location access is entirely optional. You can use Bounded fully by logging trips manually, and you can change or revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
4. Notifications
Bounded can send you local notifications (for example, warnings before you approach a visa or tax-residency limit). These are scheduled and delivered on your device by iOS. They do not involve sending your data to any server. You can disable them at any time in iOS Settings.
5. Subscriptions and purchases
Bounded offers optional paid subscriptions:
– Apple processes all payments through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details (such as credit card numbers). Apple’s handling of your data is governed by [Apple’s Privacy Policy](https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).
– Superwall is used to present paywalls and manage subscription status. When you view a paywall or make a purchase, Superwall may process limited technical data such as a random device/app identifier, device type, OS version, app version, locale, and purchase/subscription events. We do not receive your name, email address, or Apple ID through the purchase process.
6. Data we do NOT collect
Bounded does not:
– Sell your personal data.
– Track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
– Use third-party advertising networks or ad identifiers.
– Collect analytics that identify you personally.
– Require you to create an account or provide an email address.
7. Your choices and control
– Delete your data: You can delete any trip, or all data, at any time inside the App (Settings). Deleting the App from your device also removes all locally stored data.
– Location: Enable, restrict, or revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings.
– Notifications: Turn off notifications at any time in iOS Settings.
– Subscriptions: Manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings (iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions).
8. Data retention
Because your data lives on your device, you control retention. We do not retain copies. Superwall retains subscription-event data in accordance with its own privacy policy.
9. Children’s privacy
Bounded is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App is intended for travelers managing visa and tax-residency obligations.
10. International users (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA)
Because Bounded stores your data locally and we do not collect personal data on our servers, most data-protection rights (access, deletion, portability, correction) can be exercised directly on your device. To the extent any personal data is processed by our service providers (Apple, Superwall), it is limited to what is described above and is processed to provide the service you requested (contract performance / legitimate interest). We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

11. Security
Your data is protected by your device’s built-in security (device encryption, passcode/Face ID as configured by you). Because data never leaves your device except as described in this policy, the attack surface is minimal. No method of storage is 100% secure, so we recommend keeping your device and iOS up to date.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the App or on this page. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
